The Invisalign System™ is different than traditional braces in many ways. Invisalign™ uses a series of clear, thin, plastic “aligners” customized especially for your teeth. Through the combination of Drs. Pappas and Tapley’s expertise and the latest in 3-D computer technology a series of aligners are developed and created specifically for you. You typically wear aligners for two weeks, then move on to the next set. The aligners fit snugly to your teeth and exert light pressure on each tooth, gradually repositioning each tooth until your teeth are straight and you have achieved your perfect smile. Aligners are worn all day and all night; the only time you remove the aligners is for meals, brushing and flossing.

Invisalign™ is an option for correction of many orthodontic problems. The system is not, however, designed to treat growing patients and, therefore is not appropriate for young children.
