Janet D. Pappas, DMD

Dr. Pappas was born in New Jersey and was raised in Gainesville, graduating from Buchholz HS. Once she came to Gainesville, she couldn’t leave! She completed her BS degree in Microbiology at the University of Florida in 1981. She earned her DMD and several dental research awards from UF in 1988 and completed her orthodontic residency in 1990 at the University of Florida. Dr. Pappas began private practice in 1990. She is the author of several dental abstracts and papers and was an Assistant Clinical Professor at UF from 1993 to 1996.

When not in the office Dr. Pappas stays busy with her husband, two daughters, a dog, 2 cats and managing their small horse f arm. She enjoys their horse activities, gardening, snow skiing, and being creat ive. Her husband is Chairman of the Department of Orthodontics at UF College of Dentistry and so orthodontics is a big part of life even at home!
